Mitsubishi Carisma.
- Compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others.
The car had redeeming features but where it failed was in charisma. The styling was bland, both inside and out. It was designed with Europe in mind and had the car delivered on that charisma, surely a winner. Although the name was promising, it didn't deliver on that front at all. Just over 384,000 were made over nine years (42,700 p.a.). The name was misleading and after a promising start, sales soon fell away.
Alternative name suggestion: Mitsubishi Lacklustre.
