Türkiye Passenger Car Sales : 2026 (Jan-July)

Registrations in Türkiye were down a surprising 26% in July, pushing the YTD figure down to -12%. Renault leads the way here and is consolidating its position in dramatic fashion. Fiat was the top brand in 2023 and is currently 6th. It's the only top ranked brand losing market share.

As to why sales were so poor in July, one source said tighter loan conditions and high interest rates has put a damper on things. The economy generally isn't doing that well, so consumer confidence will be down.

Chinese brands are closing in on top ten spots but how far they go from here will be interesting. There are still many who stick with what they know.
