In December, registrations were up 11% and for the year, it's up 1%. so a stronger end to the year. Below, the 'Diff' column shows market share change which is much the same as actual volume fluctuations. In the early 2000's Peugeot was the top marque but was replaced by Renault. Then in 2014, Dacia took over and has been the most popular brand since without much opposition.
Dacia's share has dropped but is still an impressive 23.3%. Renault has been gaining of late so the Renault Group is doing OK. The Renault Group and Peugeot also make cars here with local manufacturers having some protection through import duty.
A few of the lesser (read tiny) brands are not listed here but all those of any volume are. The pictures are from Dacia's Facebook. I don't know what the script in the picture above means but I don't think it's saying two for the price of one. The driver below just wants to know where he can find a good car wash.
