Kia Global Passenger Car Sales : 2020 (By Model)

No, that's not my Kia, but if you're offering...

Plant sales were -10% for Korea, about twice as good as for Hyundai. Domestic sales for passenger cars were +6.6% or 490,000 (1 in 5 of all sales). Four models had either their first full year or first partial one. That factor and a better result in China helped achieve a reasonable twelve months.

Models: The Sportage is the most popular but not as much as it was. Its share of factory sales was down from 17.2% to 14.5%. The new Seltos is going in the other direction, from 3.9% to 11.4% and now sitting second. Those two SUVs have 26% of the total, the first time two cars of that type have been one-two.

Factory sales by country: Production in Korea and at overseas plants dropped similar percentages. Kia has always been heavily reliant on domestic production but recently has been spreading the load. The figure has settled at the 50% point, for now at least. India was a big mover upward in terms of volume, not surprising as it is a new factory.
