Saudi Arabia Sales : 2019

Over 550,000 light vehicles were sold here in 2019. That's up 32% compared to last year but short of some better years of late. Toyota and Hyundai are the go to brands when a car is required. They take half the sales! I'm not sure why this dominance is so pronounced.

There is a desire for the economy to move away from oil dependence, which is understandable. Toyota was approached to see if the company was interested in setting up a plant. It did due diligence but the decision there wasn't a business case for it. Perhaps Hyundai can find one instead.
