Getting sales by model data for Belgium isn't easy but I can share some with you. Fourteen years of sales for Land Rover, but stopping at 2015. It would have been nice to add 2016 but I realise it isn't happening so might as well reveal what is available.
For this period, sales increased 120%. Between 2002 and 2011 nothing really happened the the advent of the Evoque seemed to change that. It added sales without canabalising any it seems, the ideal scenario when a new niche is entered.
For 2016, LR attained 6,275 registrations, up another 7%. By adding 2016 sales, LR easily passed the 50,000 mark for the 15 years.
Technically, the Discovery Sport replaced the Freelander so should be in one column but I decided not to do it that way. Others are mainly commercial registrations for which I was unable to find model detail. Many of them surely would be Defenders.
