UK Top 5 Luxury Car Sales : 2004 -2016

The luxury market isn't that big, nor is it growing, in fact contracting slightly. Luxury SUVs are taking an increasing share of sales so those wanting big cars are not quite a dying breed but the SUV craze is affectinging all areas of the market. They take just under half a percent of all sales.

For this segment, the low teens were the norm prior to the economic hit in 2009, then came a fall and since then sales have been a slowly coming back. The Jaguar XJ is the local hero along with the Bentley Continental. The German premium brands make up the top five range, with the S-Class being the big hitter of late.
