Jaguar Global Deliveries : 2025-26 (Q1-Q3)

Jaguar officially stopped making cars in December 2024, although some were still made in China after that date. Sales have persisted because some importers built up stock so they could sell through much of 2025.

I for one thought that by now the sales volume would sufficiently emaciated to not be worth the bother of publishing. Yet here we are with sales having enough substance to still have a story to tell in Q3 2026. This chapter is about over though.

3,229 cars were delivered in Q1, 1,429 in Q2 and 722 in Q3. The F-Pace has been doing well, mostly from stock built up in North America. The XF has been selling mainly in China as a run out hurrah.

Regional: Jaguar stopped this feature, but has revived it. Two markets exceeded 90% of the total for reasons already mentioned.

Future: By the time Q4 data is released, the 01 model should feature in that. It looks better than the prototype but is clearly a divisive style. Personally, I've gone from dislike to quite like. I do appreciate the boldness and it will be a success, relative to the tiny market its targeting.

Lucid Deliveries : 2026 (Q1-Q3)

Lucid had a tepid start to 2026 with 3,093 vehicles delivered. Considering the fall in electric vehicle sales, it could have been worse but definitely could have been better. A quality issue with a supplier was cited as the reason for the disappointing delivery number.

If that was the case, why were 5,500 units made? Did they make the vehicles and will retro fit the second row seats, which were the problem? If so, then the difference is understandable. Production was up 149% compared to a low Q1 2025 figure.

Regardless, in Q2, deliveries went up 19% and production up 24%. Then along came Q3 with stronger sales than production. There was a build up of stock, which is now being addressed. Lucid is predicting production for 2026 to be in the 25-27,000 area.

With one quarter to go for 2026, numbers are down 31% and 44%. Take out Q4 2025 and they are both up 3%! Q4 2025 was big and matching that in 2026 will not be happening. The new CEO has cut back production and stock levels, the latter tying up a lot of capital. A second shift at its Arizona plant has been terminated, laying off about 1,500 employees.

The market segment Lucid is targeting is very limited. They don't hold their price in the used market. It still suffers from low brand awareness. In summary, the cars seem nice, but the prognosis isn't great.

Xiaomi Global Deliveries : 2025-26 (Q1-Q3)

Xiaomi is laid back when it comes to revealing sales data. They are rounded numbers which is fine as thet are easier to remember.

The automotive division of the company is 31% down on a full 2025 with one quarter to go. It's 8% up YOY so should exceed last year's total. The target for 2026 is an ambitious 550,000 units, or 34% up on the previous year.

A positive sign was that deliveries exceeded 40,000 units in September, the first time that has been achieved. The new Sky Nomad released early in September, no doubt enabled that to happen. (See pic immediately below).

Despite that optimism, monthly figures will need to average 88,000 per month for the rest of the year. Deliveries increase through the year for Chinese manufacturers but the target looks out of reach. However, if the Sky Nomad is very successful, then maybe it's achievable after all.
