Registrations were up an impressive 57% in December and up 12% for the year in total. Toyota became the best selling brand in 2004 and apart from one year has been top ever since. In 2023, it fought off Škoda (picture of the Kodiaq below) which has improved its share to 14.6% from 13.5% in 2022. On the other hand, Toyota has fallen from 21.7% to 18.3%.
The last couple of years Audi took to drinking Red Bull and has taken flight. Tesla is still to make the impact it has elsewhere in Europe but is trying to make up for lost time. Land Rover and Lexus were both well ahead of last year's total.
