The market in China was buoyant in 2020, hence the green adorning the chart below. The data only covers locally made models which wouldn't affect the list anyway as stiff tariffs ensure the car industry is well protected.
Nissan got the prestigious top spot, bumping the VW Lavida out of the way with ease. For such large numbers, the movement up and down the rankings is surprisingly energetic. The full list goes on and on, unlike me so I'll leave it for you to peruse.
