Registrations for the year were +58% which isn't a typing mistake. The 610,000 sales exceeded the previous decade's average. Loan deals were offered to buyers from the 1st of June and sales soared from that point. After a poor 2019 and early 2020, pent up demand and favourable loan terms created an environment conducive to this upsurge.
With the unusual growth, few brands showed a decrease in registration (yellow below). Grey is for an increase but share decrease and green exceeding 58% growth. Renault maintained its top spot and along with Fiat improved its lead substantially. VW has fallen quite sharply. Opel and Citroën are on a roll but Hyundai, Honda and Nissan aren't so fortunate.
