Registrations for December were -2% and for the full year -29%. That year total doesn't sound too good but it still exceeded the 2016 figure. In fact, it's only 9% lower than the average for the previous decade.
Toyota increased its lead at the top, pulling away from VW which fell back to third. A gradually improving Peugeot moved into second place. Nissan seems to have arrested its slide but Opel and Ford yet again didn't do well, clearly a policy on the part of both brands. Fiat and SEAT likewise shed serious amounts of penetration. A few brands managed an increase but none in the top twenty.
