Registrations were up 4% to 491,000. Compared to the average for the last ten years, much higher but with more than one agency providing the data, I can't be sure how accurate my data is with possibly some missing.
Several smaller brands do not belong to any of the agencies that release this data so they are omitted. Despite that, by far the majority of the volume is accounted for in the chart below. Subaru data is usually available each year but not 2024, when it fell.
Toyota/Lexus remains well on top with 47% of the total, not an overly unusual percentage for a protected market, although it is a strong position to be in. Mitsubishi is also a popular brand with 18% of all sales. It falls precipitously from there.
