The Ford Ranger (pictured above) was top for the second year running, having superceded the Hilux in 2022. In turn, the Hilux had been top since 2016, for six years in total. The Ranger looked set for a long stint as number one but the Toyota RAV4 had an amazing rise so who knows?
The Ranger's partner in crime the Everest had a jump from 20th to 6th. They share the same basic platform to save on cost and it is proving a winning duo for the Blue Oval. Isuzu does the same thing with the D-Max (picture below) and the MU-X and is likewise benefitting greatly from that arrangement.
A few Chinese models have entered the chart and presumably more will follow. What counts is the brand's origin rather than who owns it so MG's colour below is linked to Europe, which needs all the help it can get.
