Nothing is surprising about the list if you know anything about the Korean car market. The top 20 models are from domestic brands. The most telling part is where they are placed in the ranking list. If you add the Korean assembled Chevrolet Trax and Trailblazer plus Samsung (now being shown as Renault below), then it gets very one sided.
How many markets do you see only one Japanese brand name in a top 50 list? It's so heavily protected that unusual things like that happen. Import models are of the premium variety but mainstream brands are conspicuous by their absence. The reason import duty is still needed?
