Slovakia Sales : Jan-Jun 2020


Car sales were -20% in June and -35% YTD so things are not good but not bleak either. The list below has a '+/- Diff' column that compares market share, six months of 2020 with a complete 2019. Then we see clearly how the models within the range are performing against each other.

So looking at market share, the top three consolidated their positions (Škoda +13%), Hyundai (+8%), VW (+5%), but Kia fell back (-11%) toward fast approaching Toyota (+28%). Opel, Mazda and Ford did what they consistently have been doing in Europe, aiming toward better margins at the expense of sales. Land Rover had a useful 50% gain in share and is for now outselling Nissan.
