Sales were down 2% in December and -9% for the year. Lada is the best selling brand by some margin. with the Korean duo second and third. Because the figures include light commercial vehicles, that assists some brands. For example, Ford sold just 93 passenger cars but it managed to move over 14,000 units in total as it switches over to LCVs only. That clearly had an impact on its ranking but profit will be better no doubt.
Autovaz bought GM's share of a joint venture they were part of. Now the Autovaz brand has appeared and Chevrolet is all but gone. Local brand GAZ didn't do that well but UAZ just achieved a market share gain. Chinese brands are on the offensive.
