Registrations in 2022 were +35%. Figures are supposed to be distorted by supply issues as we all know but seemingly not with SsangYong. Exports in particular are doing well, now 40% of the total. All models bar one increased volume, not something many manufacturers could say.
Models: The Musso is the pickup truck of the range and is the best selling model. The Tivoli compact SUV is third best selling, overtaken by the new Torres. The Korando, Torres and Rexton are all of the same genre but each one is larger, in that order. The E100 is an electric Korando.
New ownership: A new buyer has been found for Ssangyong, the KG Group from Korea. SsangYong has had several owners and hopefully, this brings more stability to the company. Throughout the uncertainty leading up to the sale, it has kept operating and even expanding its model range.
