The data below is for locally assembled vehicles, Lexus the exception. It covers passenger cars, SUV's, MPV's, minibuses and pickup trucks. Total sales were -7% for the year which was a very strong result. A few brands have dropped off the list this year so it is somewhat truncated. As it is protected against imports, it limits the brands available. Premium brands do sell here but seem coy about revealing numbers.
Toyota leads the way, with Honda at least making a decent effort to narrow the chasm. Suzuki and Peugeot each had a successful year. As for those importers that don't report, we may never know.
