Luxembourg Car Sales : 2025

Luxembourg is a multilingual principality with French being the most common language. Ethnically they are mainly Germanic, as is their preference in cars. French brands do well here too. Registrations were up 1% in 2025 but down 3% when compared to the average for the last ten years. In other words, very stable as one might expect. 

Volkswagen overtook Renault in 2006 and has remained at the top ever since. VW has lost some market share so far this year yet for now it retains top spot. As the economy is strong, premium marques are well represented toward the top of the list to the right. Mercedes-Benz (up) has partially closed the gap with BMW (down) while Audi is about the same as 2024.

Overall, European brands dominate, with Korea having some success. Japanese makes aren't that strong and the Chinese push hasn't been that effective here so far. 

As for the sales figures for models, it is all but impossible to find anything. I wish there was access to the top selling models, but no. Maybe in the future a more open data policy will improve the situation.
