Uruguay Sales : 2022

It's all joy for Chevrolet

Registrations for December were +22% and for 2022 were +9% so not a bad result. The '+/- diff' column below is for market share change.

Although Uruguay doesn't have a car assembly industry to protect, it is part of a trade arrangement known as Mercosur which gives preferential tariff treatment to member countries. That explains why few brands sell in larger numbers.

Chevrolet had a great year, pushing Suzuki off the first place and Hyundai joined in to consign it to third. There is much going on here, with brands up and down. Perhaps the small numbers involved accentuate that.
