The Honda Pilot

In 2006, 974,000 cars were made by Honda/Acura and the million mark was passed in 2007. It fell to just less than 725,000 in 2009 with the poor economy at that time. It then jumped to over 1.2 million in 2012 and has kept above that since. Now for the plants:

Marysville remains the biggest plant in the USA, as it always has been. Marysville took on making the compact crossover Acura RDX from 2006 to 2009 and ILX small sedan in 2015. It is now sharing the assembly line with the Honda Accord and Acura TL/TLX.

East Liberty got the CR-V assembly in 2006, making it three Honda models. Then in 2009 came the 'what were they thinking?' Crosstour full sized crossover in a 5-door fastback guise. It bombed and was discontinued early 2015, not to be replaced. The Element SUV ended in 2011, replaced by the Acura RDX compact crossover.

Lincoln had just the Honda Odyssey and Pilot models until 2009, when it also started making the Honda Ridgeline truck. Then in 2013 Acura returned to the plant with the third generation Acura MDX mid-sized crossover. Then the Ridgeline ended in 2014, due to poor sales (a 2016 model is now out).

The fourth US assembly facility was opened in late 2008 in Greensburg, Indiana for the Civic model. It also made the Acura ILX between 2012 to 2014, before it moved to Marysville.

Summary: The Honda production operations in the US are impressive in size. It's reflective of how well respected the brand is in that nation. I find Honda too conservative but in the the US of A that's just fine it seems.
