Opel/Vauxhall Global Sales (By Model) : 2019 (Jan-Jun)

Under the management of PSA, GM's loss making Opel/Vauxhall operation has quickly moved into the black. Even expects in the automotive field have been surprised by the speed of the turnaround. As to whether it remains a Euro only brand (97.5% of all sales in 2019) remains to be seen.

The focus of the data below is on which models have improved their contribution and which ones haven't. The 2019 share is for six months while the 2018 is the full year. Blue is increased share, yellow the opposite.

The new Corsa compact car is doing well, with 135,000 sales and close to a quarter of the total. The small Astra is very much on a downward trajectory, a shame as it is a nice car. The Crossland and Grandland crossover vehicles are making up for the Astra's decline. The range will be reshaped and costs will continue to be saved with cost savings with the PSA Group.
