The increase of 20% was down to the new F-Pace SUV, the company's first foray into that field. It's been the success it had to be and the only wonder is why it took so long. I've been writing here for some time that it should happen.
The colours below are probably a bit much they are all there for a reason. Asia/Pacific is salmon, The Americas purple, blue Europe and orange Africa/Middle East. Then the green is increase and the yellow decrease.
With a eye opening 73% gain, China jumped from 3rd to 1st. It is second time it has been there, 2014 being the other year. It didn't hold its lead back then I think things will be different this time around. China now commands 24% of all sales. The USA had a +27% result, keeping it in 2nd place. The UK dropped from 1st to 3rd.
Further down, Canada went from 9th to 6th with an impressive 52% increase. India had a huge jump further down it was based on a calculated estimate. I don't usually use data like that but I think it's near the mark. Amazingly the country that owns the brand isn't that forthcoming with data. Jaguar in Brazil continues to go from strength to strength.
