European Car Sales By Nation : 2017

The is first list covers the traditional Western Europe, where just over 14 million passenger cars were sold. The UK had a poor end to 2017 (down 150,000 units), quite overdue. Most other nations were on the up, Italy was up by 150,000 registrations.

Then there is Eastern Europe, with a country or two missing. 3 million sales were achieved for the year. Over the last few years, Hungary has been improving while the Ukraine has been negatively affected by political developments in the region. Russia has turned a corner it seems after years of difficult trading for the car industry. All the nations to the east were up in 2017.
