Car Sales Lebanon: 2014


Registrations rose 5% but some importers weren't restrained by that. Toyota for example managed to increase 122%, a figure that had me scurrying back to the source data to see if I had made a mistake. No I hadn't and the explanation from importer was there were three elements to this, "competitive pricing, value-driven offering and an aggressive marketing campaign".

Toyota's big gain probably wasn't enough to give the Korean duo at the top sleepless nights, but maybe Toyota occasionally featuring in the dreams they were having. Nissan continued its gradual slide and Renault was able to crack the top 5 with a 23% upswing.
