JLR have been late to the electric hybrid party but it has now arrived. The company's aim is to have every car built after 2020 being either fully electric or having hybrid propulsion. The new Range Rover Sport now has in its range the company's first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. It will deliver efficiency, capability and performance like never before...well that's what LR said and I take their word for it.
Total power / torque output: 404PS (297kW) / 640Nm
Combined NEDC fuel economy: 101mpg
Combined NEDC CO2 emissions: 64g/km
Electric-only range: 31 miles (51km)
Rapid charging time: 2 hours 45 minutes.
Badged P400e, the new model provides motion by combining a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with an electric motor. It delivers 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds (0-100km/h - 6.7 seconds) and a maximum speed of 137mph (220km/h).
|Yes, you will still be able to do this I believe|
Sounds like a winner, especially in markets such as Norway.
LR has sold more than 732,000 RR Sport vehicles since it was introduced in 2004.
