Norway Car Sales Jan-Jun 2017


Any make with electric or hybrid models will do well in Norway. Brands that are not offering those sorts of cars are seriously disadvantaged. For example the BMW i3 is the second best selling car this year, the Nissan Leaf 5th, the Tesla X and Renault Zoe are 12th and 13th respectively.

Registrations were up 4% in June, the best since 1986. The YTD figure is the same as 2016. VW took the lead off Toyota in 2010 and held it since, despite the latter doing well so far this year in closing the gap. BMW, Mercedes and Volvo are doing nicely from third to fifth place. Ford is slipping away slowly.
