Rolls Royce is a marque that wafts along, with a strong customer base and reputation that is held by many of being the the best. Total sales were 4,011, up 6% and the second best year (the strongest year was 2014, just).
The best selling model(s) us the Wraith/Dawn combo. The Wraith is a 4 door GT and the Dawn a convertible. Although Rolls Royce say 80% of the body panels differ from the Wraith, sales are combined. It seems yet another step that BMW is taking to be more economical with data. Not long back they would have been separate. The Ghost is a full sized 4 door saloon car of which 1,175 found homes during 2016. The even larger Phantom model accounted for 389 sales.
Some of the better selling markets were the USA (921, +10%), The UK (477, +26%), Japan (223, +43%), Germany (202, +74%). China was up 23% but that was on the back of a 54% slump the year before. RR are data shy, either because its none of our business or they feel it will compromise the brand in some way.
