Jaguar Global Sales (Nation) / 2016

For many years the USA was the destination for more Jaguar cars than anywhere else. Then the UK was for a while. In 2013, the USA took that position back for a year before China had its moment in the sun in 2014. The last two years the home market has held the top spot. Mind you the USA nearly eclipsed it in 2016 with an amazing 116% increase.

77% more sales meant that nearly every nation sold more Jaguar cars. Three digit rises were common as customers came flooding back to the famous brand. It was the best year ever, passing the previous record of 130,000 sales of 2002, when the S-Type and X-Type were in their prime.

Thank you to all the websites that contributed the statistics to make the list possible. Jaguar were not part in the process. The text and data compilation was by RayCee.

  1. A very good addition for joint families due to its seating capacity.

  2. Hi

I've been following your blog with great interest for a while, it always good to come back for some more reading.

As a non-native speaker, I am always wondering, if the term nation is accurate in the title. I mean, is there such a "nation", as UK, or Belgium?

I also wonder that I read no insights / views on Vauxhall sale to PSA.

I was hoping that the blogosphere will be more outspoken than the press.

  3. Hello Zoldfulu. I'm glad you like the blog, although articles will be less common than they have been.

The word nation is freely interchanged with country in English. A definition of nation is: "A large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular state or territory" So I don't believe it is inaccurate. I use it on the labels because its shorter than country, so don't have to abbreviate the name of the country itself as much.

As for an article on the Opel sale, I did comment before the sale to PSA. If you copy and paste this link in your url:

Otherwise click on 'Brand - GM".

I was mulling over another article now that the sale has been finalised.
