South West England Car Sales By Brand : 2015

With nearly 5.3 million people, it is the sixth largest of the nine regions numerically and the has the lowest population density at 222 people per square kilometer (England average 407). It has the fourth best income average of nearly £25,600 (£27,500). Honda has a car manufacturing plant in this region, at Swindon, Wiltshire. It has 10% of the population and 11.6% of car sales. SW sales were up 7.8% (6.3%), slightly higher than the national average.

Winners: BMW took 9.1% (national average 6.4%), Hyundai 4.6% (3.3%), Kia 4.0% (3.0%), Honda 3.0% (2.0%) and Mitsubishi 1.9% (1.0).

Losers: Nissan 5.2% (5.8%), Toyota only 2.6% (3.7%) and Renault 2.0 (2.9%).

Jaguar, smart and Jeep had very large increases. The DS probably isn't 30th but this is a national top 30 broken down by region.
