Sweden Car Sales By Brand : 2015

With Sweden experiencing a healthy 13.6% increase in car sales, the top two selling brands even managed to eclipse that. Green shows those that exceeded the total increase. Others fared not as well. Hyundai dropped out of the Top 10 for the first time since 2010 and even managed less sales than 2014.

I've got data for Sweden going back to 1950 and 9th is the lowest Ford has ever been, which it also achieved in 2014. In fact it was the number one brand in 1950. Citroën has always been a moderately successful brand here and this year slipped back to 19th. The last time it was out of the Top 20 was 1956 so that record could be under threat too in 2016.

Nissan got to its highest ranking since 1998 with a strong 31.5% increase. Tesla in its second year here had a very fruitful time. So in a market that is quite steady, there were some notable milestones. The most important news I almost forgot to mention, this was the biggest year ever for car sales in Sweden.
