Italy Car Sales By Brand : 2015

The top selling car - the Fiat Panda - with 126,306 sales

With all the other fine sales performances around the world, to say this was the best year for Italian car sales since 2011 could sound somewhat underwhelming. How about second consecutive year of increase? Come on, it's only about 920,000 sales short of the all time peak of 2007. No, it doesn't sound that good does it. Despite all that, one gets the impression the improvement will continue.

Fiat managed to grow faster than the total sales, therefore comes in green on the chart. Lancia looks rather poorly in what will soon be its only market that the make will be sold in. How long will even that last, I wonder? Jeep had a great year with the new Renegade. Nissan jumped to 8th for its best ever ranking in Italy. Amazingly only one brand actually decreased, Chevrolet which is being taken off the market.
