Vehicle Production By Brand USA : 2014

The Honda Accord corresponds with good sales in the US

2014 was the highest vehicle production figure for the USA since 2006. The list below colour codes the brands to regions they are associated with. There maybe some surprises so let's look at a few:

Cars: US brands make up just over a third of US car production and they all took a tumble in volume in 2014. Toyota is the biggest car producer for the second time ever (the other was 2009). Ford is 5th on the list, the lowest ranking ever. Hyundai/Kia being 4th is it's best ever.

Utility: Chrysler became the 2nd biggest truck maker for the first time, with a whopping 31% increase. Naturally that meant that GM had it's worst ever ranking. Nissan got it's highest market share for trucks at 6.9%.

Chrysler: Ram Pick Up 333,772; Gr Cherokee 323,726; Cherokee 273,225.

Ford: All F-Series 915,196; Escape 358,670; Explorer 284,993; Focus 235,666.
