Car Sales By Brand Italy : 2014

Fiat Panda #1 with over 104,000 sales

Sales in Italy have been as high as 2.5 million in 2007, so the 1.34 million of 2014 is well short of that. Still, a 4% gain is a move in the right direction. That record year had just over 600,000 Fiats sold. Mind you back in 1997, nearly 800,000 sales for the Fiat brand and a third of the market! Those heady days are gone and Fiat still enjoys strong local support. Fiat still got the top five spots if you include a Lancia model at #4.

Fiat Punto #2 with  about 57,000 sales

Renault has had something of a renaissance in the last two years, and has the 6th best seller (Clio). VW has a 7th (Golf) and 9th (Polo), Ford 8th (Fiesta) and Citroen #10 (C3).  Asian brands don't do so well here and therefore crowd the bottom of the chart. Blue is European makes, purple USA and pink Asia.
