Car Sales By Brand Greece : 2014

Toyota took the opportunity in 2014 to extent its lead

You would have to have been living under a rock somewhere not to know the economic problems that Greece has. Quarter of a million sales per annum were not uncommon a few years ago but the last two years, 58,000 was about where the final tally ended up. So when 2014 passed 70,000, that was quite an improvement. Still a low figure, but one car dealers must have welcomed.

In times of fluctuation, things change more rapidly. Increases such as with Nissan (+72%) and Renault (+105%) are huge for brands so far up the sales chart. On the other hand Mazda dropped 90% to a mere 25 sales! Mazda sold nearly 8,400 cars in 2008 and has crumbled since. Admittedly the market cashed too, but not to that extent. Uncertain conditions can do this sort of thing.
