|Nissan have found the right path with it's SUV range|
Nissan slipped back in production world market share for 2013, but this was a hiccup, as 2014 is going better. It does show how competitive the industry is. It is a very high 5th on the world's biggest car making list.
Production in Japan has dropped from 35.4% in 2008 to 19.1% in 2013, which indicates how global the company is. With Toyota having 33.9%, Honda 19.6%, Suzuki 34.3%, Mazda 76.5%, Mitsubishi 47.2%, Daihatsu 74.1% and Subaru 79.1% made in Japan, Nissan is by far the most international. Only Honda was about the same.
China, USA and Thailand had strong increases, while Russia is a new entrant. With the weakness of the Russian Ruble, Nissan will be shifting more production to that nation to mitigate losses that all car companies are feeling at the moment trying to do business there.
