Ecuador Vehicle Sales By Brand : 2013

The capital city Quito

Ecuador means equator in Spanish which is where it is located and it has around 15 million people. It seems to be doing well economically, so car sales are quite robust, although down over the past few years. Petroleum is a major source of revenue and export earner. Bananas, flowers and cocoa among other produce is exported.

The Chevrolet Aveo
Like many Latin nations, Chevrolet is the most popular selling brand. Overall US, Japanese and Korean brands are in the ascendancy.

Chinese makes have proliferated in number but have yet to crack the big time. In fact, many of them come with a spurt then disappear. A few of them are doing well.

Because this list is fr total vehicles, some truck makers appear here too. Chevrolet has a dominant 44% of the market, with the Korean makes well back on 2nd and 3rd. Green highlights sales increase, while yellow the reverse. The L/Yr column shows what the increase or decrease percentage was.
