Audi Production By Model : 2013

The A4. It sounds like copy paper, I know.

VW has worked hard with Audi to overtake BMW and Mercedes in sales volume. That is still yet to happen but one suspects it is only a matter of time. What difference will that make? Bragging rights it seems, as such things are important to some people. The BMW brand should retain it's top spot for 2014 by about 100,000  units over Audi, who in turn are expected to outsell Mercedes by a similar amount.

Anyway, a healthy 9.5% increase in cars made is what Audi achieved in 2013. While the 3-Series makes up 31% of BMW sales the equivalent Audi, the A4 only 21%. The SUV range which is highlighted in green, makes up just over a quarter of total volume. That shows how important those three models are.

Audi hopes to sell over 500,000 cars in China in 2014, and a new car dealership is opened every week there. It also leads the premium sector in Europe but lags behind the other two German marques elsewhere.

The Q3. I do like the simplicity of the naming.
