Renault Car Sales By Model: 2012

Renault is a company getting things sorted. In 2012, sales of cars for the brand were 45% in Europe and 55% worldwide. In 2011 the split was 55/45 in Europe's favour. That movement was because European sales were down 22% but the rest of the world was up 14%. This shift to more non Euro sales is healthy, but the speed of change over the year amazing. It reflects the general downturn in the Euro region as well as reduced market share.

The boost in sales for Renault is being achieved through Dacia cars branded as Renaults in many markets. The three models highlighted in yellow are Dacias and between them they now account for a third of Renault sales. In fact, it is only the Clio and Megane that are doing much for sales in the Renault side of the range.

The Scala model is a rebadged Nissan Sunny and the Pulse is based on the Micra; both are made in India.
