Vehicle Sales Indonesia: 2012

The agency for dispensing car sales data for Indonesia (Gaikindo) isn't as open as it used to be. I managed to find the top 15 only, including commercial vehicles. Still, it gives a good indication of what is doing well in the car industry there.

For a start, like most Asian countries it is dominated by Toyota and Japanese brands. They are in yellow while all others are pale green. Over 1 million sales is impressive, but for the size of the population not surprising. The Mitsubishi figure seems to include the Fuso brand, which is now part of the  Daimler Truck Division. Therefore the increase figure I have is misleading.

The first two columns show 2011 and 2012 ranking, the second column in from the right is increase or decrease, and the extreme right shows market share for the major brands.
