Car/LCV Sales Denmark: 2012

New cars in Denmark are expensive. This is to reduce buying which it does, but there are plenty of Danes that a) need a car and b) can afford a new one. Therefore sales are strong anyway. In fact 2012 was a good year for car sales, not a record but strong nevertheless. I have included light commercials as well which assists French brands on the list below for example. Makes such as Iveco turn up too.

VW has cemented itself at # 1 spot, as Ford slips a bit. Suzuki was 3rd in 2005, but continues to lose ground. Toyota is moving up nicely and Kia had a real jump in 2012. Premium marques are not big sellers here.

The first three columns show 2010 to 2012 ranking, the second column in from the right is increase or decrease, and the extreme right shows market share for the major brands.
