Car/LCV Sales Slovakia: 2011


Car sales in Slovakia dropped 21.5% in 2010, so to come back +4.2% this year was at least movement in the right direction - to 74,000 units. It now has a big car making industry, with over 560,000 vehicles made in 2010, obviously mostly exported.

Big Hits: VW (+31.4%), Opel (+19.9%), Seat (+36.2%), Dacia (+45.1%) and MINI (+196%).
Big Misses: Citroen (-16.9%), Suzuki (-19%), Toyota (-20.3%), Honda (-18.3%) and Mazda (-30.5%).

Japanese brands are not that popular here, and things got worse for them this year too. No such problems for the Korean duo.

My guess: Surely a better year in sales for 2012.
