Car Sales Finland: 2011

Finland had a usefully good year of car sales for 2011. Toyota lost its 11 year #1 spot, falling 11.8% in a market that grew 12.7%! while Hyundai (+54%) and Kia (+45.3%) both moved up the rankings well. Mazda (-22.1%) and Fiat (-35.2%) continued their Euro trend of slumping yet again. Sales figures as below:

VW 17,200 13.8%
Toyota 13,300 10.7%
Ford 10,700 8.6%
Skoda 10,200 8.2%
Volvo 8,700 7.0%
Nissan 7,500 6.0%
Audi 6,200 5.0%
Kia 6,100 4.9%
Opel 5,250 4.2%
Mercedes 5,000 4.0%
Hyundai 4,450 3.6%
Peugeot 4,150 3.3%
BMW 4,000 3.2%
Citroen 3,550 2.9%
Honda 3,300 2.6%
Mazda 2,1001.7%
Seat 1,900 1.5%
Renault 1,875 1.5%
Mitsubishi 1,500 1.2%
Chevrolet 1,425 1.1%
Subaru 1,275 1.0%
Fiat 1,100 0.9%
Suzuki 975 0.8%
Dacia 850 0.7%
Alfa Romeo 500 0.4%
Saab 290 0.2%
MINI 260 0.2%
Lexus 220 0.2%
Land Rover 165 0.1%
Chrysler 140 0.1%
Others 335 0.3%
Total 124,477 12.7% increase.

My guess: I'm picking a similar year for 2012.

PS. Did I mention the Finns enjoy rallying?
