Vehicle Sales Paraguay: 2010

While only 20,200 cars were sold in Paraguay in 2010, less than 3,000 were in 2002, so this is a small car market. Data is hard to obtain for this land locked South American land, but here it is.

Kia was top in 2009, but had to yield to Chevrolet in ’10. In fact Chevy moved up four places to achieve top spot. Unfortunately a year to forget for Nissan though, actually managing a decrease.

In the chart below, italicised figures at the end of each line indicates a drop in market share. Now for the top 10:

Rank-Brand-Sales-Share-Inc/Dec
1 Chevrolet 3,189 15.8% 150.7
2 Kia 3,096 15.3% 73.1
3 Toyota 1,986 9.8% 38.8
4 Fiat 1,667 8.2% 82.4
5 Nissan 1,520 7.5% -3.1
6 Hyundai 1,434 7.1% 105.2
7 VW 1,291 6.4% 133.9
8 Isuzu 779 3.9% 377.9
9 Suzuki 753 3.7% 36.7
10 Mitsubishi 624 3.1% 28.4
Otros Marcas 3,876 19.2% share.
Ventas Totales 20,215 66.2% increase.

My thought on it: A small but growing car market, which is nice to see.
