Car Sales Ukraine: 2010


The Ukrainian car market exploded over the decade just past. In 2001, 70,000 units were sold but by 2008, that figure had reached over 620,000! Unfortunately bubbles tend to burst and so did this one, with a –74% decrease in 2009. 2010 recovered a measly 4.5% of that but at least a move in the right direction.

Lada is the best seller here but fell to possibly its lowest ever market share of 15.3% in 2010. Second placed ZAZ make renamed GM Korean cars it seems, and have a solid following for them. European brands are not that popular here, but Chinese ones are making a mark. There isn’t a premium brand in the top 20 you may also have noticed.
