Car Sales Slovenia: 2010

The Slovenian market was quite strong for 2010, in fact sales each year are surprisingly stable. Even individual brands don’t move around too much either.
Renault is top but its dominance earlier in the decade has slowly diminished. Skoda moved up three places to enter the top 10 for the first time this decade at least, if not ever. Both Fiat and Mazda dropped four places. The top Japanese brand doesn’t kick in until 12th spot and the best of the premium brands until 14th. So both European brands and everyday cars are popular here.
In the chart below, italicised figures at the end of each line indicates a drop in market share. Now for the top 15:

Rank-Brand-Sales-Share-Inc/Dec
1 Renault 9,946 16.8% 5.4
2 VW 7,257 12.3% 24.1
3 Opel 5,226 8.8% 14.4
4 Citroen 4,452 7.5% 2.6
5 Peugeot 4,048 6.8% 24.7
6 Ford 3,376 5.7% 0.3
7 Hyundai 2,921 4.9% 28.3
8 Skoda 2,801 4.7% 23.7
