Car Sales Bulgaria: 2010

In the last two years, sales have dropped from 55,000 to less than 19,000 in Bulgaria. No brand really dominates, although Toyota was the favourite for 2010. Ford and Skoda both lifted three places whilst Opel dropped four. The figures below do not quite represent all brands sold in Bulgaria, such as Hyundai.

In the chart, italicised figures at the end of each line indicates a drop in market share. Now for the top 15:

Rank-Brand-Sales-Share-Inc/Dec
1 Toyota 1906 10.1% -32.4
2 Ford 1717 9.1% -15.4
3 VW 1684 8.9% -25.2
4 Peugeot 1508 8.0% -33.4
5 Skoda 1381 7.3% -8.0
6 Dacia 1325 7.0% -24.0
7 Citroen 1123 6.0% -38.6
8 Opel 1110 5.9% -49.3
9 Chevrolet 1068 5.7% -23.9
10 Renault 1055 5.6% 13.2
11 Nissan 702 3.7% -5.0
12 BMW 514 2.7% -10.5
13 Fiat 480 2.6% -0.4
14 Mercedes 453 2.4% -26.5
15 Mitsubishi 414 2.2% -31.0
Other Brands 2,380 12.6% share.
Total Sales 18,820 28.6% decrease.

Summary: Maybe there will be an improvement in sales in Bulgaria, but for now sales are very depressed.
